Virginia started Blueberry Hill Organic Farm with her love of plants, food, and the health of her community in mind. She wants her customers to feel truly good about what they are eating, knowing their fruits are free of chemicals, pesticides, or genetic alteration. She is growing crops in a way that is sustainable and healthy for the environment too! Virginia has degrees in Plant Science and Education and worked for many years in those fields, but her true love is farming. Currently, Virginia oversees all operations at the farm, serves as a member of the Farm Service Agency Community Counsel, hosts regular workshops for the community on topics like Organic Food & Gardening, Cannabis Cultivation and Use, and Pollinator Habitat Establishment. In her spare time Virginia loves playing bluegrass guitar, native flute and drum, yoga and hiking. She is also a certified Reiki Master Teacher.

Erika resides in Queens, NY and has spent the last fourteen years working in sexual and reproductive health care. Specializing in communications and marketing strategy, with a strong design and UX background, Erika serves as Planned Parenthood of Greater New York’s Director of User Experience and Design. Erika has also spent many years working as a freelancer, providing brand identity development, graphic and web design, communications and marketing strategy, and user experience expertise to a wide variety of clients - from local farms, to political candidates, to social justice organizations. Erika maintains the Blueberry Hill website and develops marketing materials for the farm. When she is visiting the farm, Erika can usually be found eating strawberries, spending time with her family, or enjoying the peace and nature in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner.
